New summer program

June 9, 2011

Each summer the City of Dallas partners with local community organizations to host a program that educates students on the benefits of water conservation and what they can do to support those efforts.

This summer, we’re trying something brand new. TeamH2OWorks is a pilot program with the same charge to provide high school students with a service-learning opportunity. (Read more about our mission on our About page).

So, in one short week, we’ll be heading out to the community garden centers to begin our seven-week adventure. Not only do we wish to beautify the city, we also hope our participants will become environmental stewards of the future. By the end of summer, we hope to create enough support and excitement to continue TeamH2OWorks as our summer youth program every summer.
